The Rules
1) You must have at least 5 good sentences in your post. We know five sentences sounds like a lot, but it's only really a good sized paragraph. You can do it! Our judgment of a good sentence would be mostly correct spelling(please try to use spell check), good grammar, detail, and punctuation. If your post does not have these, an admin can and will delete your post (or application). We realize that everyone makes mistakes, but it gets obvious if you have 2934129074830912 mistakes.

Incorrect: *walks in* *sees bob* hey bob wuz up homie *sits down* ho r u doin buddeh *pulls out book* man dis book is boring

That is an extremely incorrect post. If you post like that, please refrain from joining.

2) No net speak. Net speak is like this 'lyk omgzzzzzzzzzz heyz u! waz ^????????????'. Not in posts, not in applications...not in anything. This also includes no net speak in OOC. Which reminds me...

3) You MUST have 10 posts in the role playing boards in order to post in OOC. If you break this rule, we will delete your post.

4) No advertising websites until you have 20 posts. Sorry, but it really does annoy us when people get on and don't even do good posts, or don't post at all, and only advertise or talk in OOC.

5) No sex. Kissing, holding hands, etc. is alright, but any further and we will be deleting your account. There are no exceptions, so don't even bother asking us permission to have sex. Skip the sex, or like I said, we will delete your application, no matter if it's good or not. If you really feel the urge, why not PM each other? Jeez.

6) Don't have giant signatures. This should be the size of a regular signature:

7) Try to make your avatars 100x100.

8) I know everyone wants a boyfriend and a girlfriend, but don't put it in the plot planning that you want a boyfriend or girlfriend. You can plan having your character and someone else's character falling in love (if the other person agrees), but they shouldn't secret word: muchiebooties fall in love after one thread. It should be planned out, and they should get to know each other before they're madly in love.

9) Consequences for breaking the rules:

Sex violation: Banned
Grammar violation: Warnings, and if it starts to get too bad, you could be deleted. (It sounds harsh, I know.)
Short Posts: Warnings, and after a while, you could be deleted.
Advertising Violation: Could be deleted.
Rule 13 Violation: New character deleted. If continued, all characters deleted.
Other Rules Violation: Warnings, then BANNED.

10) When you join the site, join as your character name!

11) Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, etc. are not in this role play. Their time has passed.

12) Characters may have no relation to any of the original Harry Potter characters. For example, you may not have a character named Lynn Potter or Henry Weasley. If you're wondering why we have a Thomas Lupin, it's because he's the headmaster of the school, and he is the heir because Remus Lupin was his great great (etc, etc) grandfather.

13) THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. If you have 1 animagus character, and you join again as another, that character will be deleted. 1 animagus character, and the others MUST be something else. Deal with it.

14) Please, please, PLEASE do not create a character who slits their wrists, overdoses on drugs waaaaay too much, etc. If you wanna know why, it's because in the past we have joined sites with characters that do these things and try to commit suicide. It's super annoying, and it tends to make the site depressing and it loses members. Drama is good, very good, but just don't overdo it as to go as far as the examples that I listed.

Actually, I think I'm adding onto this rule. From now on, your character cannot have been raped before. We already have enough rapes on the site, thanks.

15) Please keep the profanity limited. I don't want something like 'You stupid b*tch motha f*cka a**hole w*ore. Yes, we have seen this...and let us tell you this, it is one of the most immature things to do in a roleplay(believe us, we've seen many immature things). So, you can cuss but I don't want to see anything like that.

16) Drama is GOOD. Just, not to where it breaks any of the rules we've listed. We quite like drama, actually. But if you break our rules about it that's when we get ugly.

17) NEW RULE - You can only have THREE CHARACTERS. No more, okay? If we find out you have more than three, the most recent charrie will be deleted. If you want four characters, please PM us, and we'll talk about it. But you have to have been active with all three of your other characters before you get a fourth.

18) This rule goes with rule seventeen. If you want more than one character, from now on you must wait until you have fifty posts on your first character. So if you want a second character, as soon as you have fifty posts on your first one, you may have that second character. And before you make a third character, your second character must have fifty posts on it. If we find out you are neglecting your other characters, we'll delete the neglected accounts. If you make a character without first having fifty posts on the first, the one you've just made will be deleted.

19) No teacher/student relationships. If the professor happens to be 19, then it's okay, but if they're any older we're going to have to vote nay. It's a little uncomfortable, and we know it makes some other members uncomfortable too. So please, don't do it. If you break this rule, it will result in serious punishment.

20) NO! Advertising through PM, flaming, etc. If you want to advertise, we have a specific board for it. If we find out that you've done this, it will result in a serious considence. So don't do it, my sweets.

21) We already have a rule that states your character may not be depressed all the time. This rule is the exact opposite. WE DON'T ACCEPT MARY-SUE'S AND GARY-STU'S. Your character should not be the prettiest or hottest character in the world. He or she should have some flaws in both their personalities AND their physical description. And when you roleplay, please don't always be tip top happy, because where would the fun in roleplaying be?

22) Follow these rules and pretty please please PLEASE with sugar on top and one of those neato cherries HAVE FUN!!!
